The Campus Compacts of the Eastern Region, in partnership with the Swearer Center at Brown University, are accepting nominations for up to ten engaged faculty, staff, and/or administrators to join the 2019-2020 Engaged Scholars Initiative, a collaborative learning and leadership cohort. 

The purpose of the Engaged Scholars Initiative is to develop, support and connect leaders who can advance co-created knowledge, critically engaged pedagogies, institutional change, and collaborative action to address societal issues. The Eastern Region Campus Compact (ERCC) invites you to propose a session for the 2019 bi-annual conference, Education for Democracy: Innovating in Complex Times.  Please submit your proposal by 11:59 pm ET on Thursday, 11/1/2018.  

The ERCC conference aims to showcase practices advancing the field of community and civic engagement.  Through a mix of session topics and formats, networking opportunities, and a variety of speakers, ERCC conference participants will explore key topics related to community engaged scholarship, learning that promotes civic & democratic engagement, and programs and partnerships that enhance both community & campus.
